mwz: day 9

Ran on the tread mill for 2 miles. It took me between 21 and 22 minutes (I forgot to look). It was boring but my new shoes were pretty nice.

I think according to Mtt's suggested schedule, I'm going to make myself run 3 miles per session in January.

I'm reading a triathlon book that Arial got from the library for me. In it it gives a suggested workout schedule. It has like 3 days off a week. I'm only scheduling one day off. Do you guys think that is bad of me?

Tomorrow, I am going to try to work on my swimming form. I've read some stuff online and I'm going to try it out. This stuff from the BBC is the best that I've found.

They had a sale at the YWCA on swim lessons when I was training last year. I took one lesson for $15 and it gave me stuff to work on for two months. It was one of the smartest things I did when I was training.

I think you should only run 3 times a week and fill your other days up with swimming and biking.

I'm starting to get the impression that you're not training for a dinky little indoor triathlon like I did but rather a much longer outdoor triathlon like I haven't had the nerve to attempt (what are the distances in your triathlon?). I suggest you look into trying out an indoor one this winter first, it helps gear you up for transitions etc. Also I recommend you do the spin classes to get ready for outdoor biking, it's not the same but the form is closer than the stationary bikes (and it's going to be a much better workout because it's not as boring).
