mwz: Day 21
Spin class was okay. I held back a bit because I wasn't' sure when the class was going to end. It ended at the earlier possible time, so I had a little left. It was still a good workout, just not very debilitating. I was able to go right to the weight room without stopping in the locker room to rest.
The weights went well. It seems to go by quicker now than when I lifted as a teenager. I think it might be because I am doing fewer exercises. I'm also doing less weight and going for fluidity instead of seeing how much I can do. This way, the whole thing is less like torture.
I added an extra exercise this time. I wanted to counterbalance the lat work I've been doing, so I added side lateral raises.
Here is what I did:
Lying Dumbbell Tricep Extension: 10lbs each hand (EH). 10x4
Dumbbell Flyers: 10lbs EH 10x4
Straight Arm Pulldown (lat machine): 25lbs 20x3
Wide-Grip Pulldowns Behind the Neck (lat machine): 55lbs 20x3
Side Lateral Raise (but sitting): 10lbs EH 10x3
Dumbbell Bicept Curl (but sitting): 20lbs EH 10x3
Seated Dumbbell Palms-up Wrist curl: 15lbs EH 10x3
